Team News

Tokyo Sungoliath

Captain Sam Cane highlighted the improvements his team has made in their win over the Shizuoka Blue Revs: "I think we were able to show a variety of things today. The forwards were able to move forward and the backs were able to carry the ball into space and make the most of their opportunities, which shows good skill in the team as a whole. I think it's very positive that we were able to attack while having a common understanding and looking at the same page. We also used offloads when receiving turnovers and kicks, so I think our attacks were going well."

Mitsubishi Dynaboars

Head Coach Glenn Delaney commented on his team's performance in their narrow defeat to Toyota Verblitz: "I'm disappointed with the result of today's match. The last two minutes were crucial, but we weren't very focused inside the 22-metre line. Up until then we had been playing well, and our play reflected our DNA. I'm a little disappointed with how we ended up."
