South Africa remained undefeated in Group C of the African Nations Championship after beating Guinea 2-1 on Monday.

South Africa had the perfect start against Guinea, taking the lead in the tenth minute of the match before their opponents equalised after 37 minutes of play.

Bafana Bafana did not take long to regain their advantage, scoring their second goal nine minutes into the second half.  

South Africa had 36% possession and six shots during the game, with two attempts on target.

Bafana Bafana have won three of their last five fixtures, including one loss and two draws. They scored eight goals and conceded six. 

South Africa will be pleased to secure three points in their previous match and have a golden opportunity to take a step closer to the knockout rounds of the tournament when they take on an out-of-sorts Niger side.
