Bath started slowly last week but roared back in the second half. I expect this game to be more tactical with fewer points on offer. While I believe Bath will have the quality to get the result, I do fancy the Sharks to get within 10.5 points.

Bath are the defending Rugby Premiership champions after a very impressive campaign last season. They are favourites to retain the title this season.

Last week, in round one of the Premiership, Bath took little time to show their class, beating Harlequins 47-31 away from home. It was a very strong attacking performance from Bath, and while they will have concerns defensively, they were more than good enough to take a full house of points.

Max Ojomoh is likely to continue at flyhalf in the absence of Finn Russell. There may be a few other rotations after some impressive performances last weekend off the bench.

Sale Form

Sale Sharks have been competitive for the last few years and are once again expected near the top of the table. They made the semi-finals last season.

In their opener last Thursday, Sale beat Gloucester 27-10 at home. It was a very clinical performance from the Sharks as they dominated most of the game and all the key areas.

This week, away from home against the champions, will be a different challenge, but Sale certainly have the capabilities of making life tough for Bath.
