Best Bet of the Day - Durbanville

Race 1 – Sicily (1)

Sicily has had plenty of opportunities in the maiden ranks but gets an excellent chance to finally open his account when dropping back to 1000m.

Sicily stayed on for fifth behind Rachettu over 62 days ago last time and the booking of Richard Fourie as jockey catches the eye. El Cohete brings plenty of speed and rates the main danger, while the gelded Made In Chelsea could improve after a break.

Race 3 – Catch Me (2)

Catch Me produced a highly encouraging performance when chasing home Warrior Of Destiny over 1400m at Durbanville last month and should appreciate stepping up to 1600m.

Further improvement can be expected from the lightly raced Catch Me, who also benefits from a favourable draw. Zanfan Moris endured a troubled passage when fifth in the same race last time, but Catch Me looks the one they have to beat.

Race 7 – Gold Dust (1)

Gold Dust produced an excellent performance when second behind Lyrical Gangster over 1250m on his latest appearance and gets another opportunity over the same distance.

A favourable draw should allow Gold Dust to settle just behind the early speed before making his challenge. Avignon arrives after an impressive victory and Like Dynamite has plenty of potential, but Gold Dust can finish strongest.

Race 8 – All About Al (2)

All About Al endured a luckless passage when finishing third behind stable companion Oliver on his latest appearance and could have finished considerably closer with a clear run.

Champion jockey Craig Zackey knows All About Al extremely well and the gelding gets a favourable draw in the 1000m finale. Dreamworld is a major danger after his encouraging comeback, but All About Al offers an attractive combination of form and potential value.
