Race 1 – Forthegoodtimes (7)

Race favourite Mist In Maryland has been scratched, moving Forthegoodtimes up into the favourites spot. The three-year-old bay filly has finished second in both of his two career starts, with his last finish 39 days ago being agonisingly close to taking the win, so I'm backing him to step up to the top spot in the first race of the day.

Race 2 – Run George Run (5)

Jockey: Dezahn Louw | Trainer: Garth Puller

Big Dipper was the runaway favourite but is a late scratching. Run George Run has moved into the lead place in the odds, although the three-year-old bay cold has just one Top 3 finish in five runs, with his other four runs seeing him finish in the double figures. His third place run was a powerful performance and saw him lose second place by a nose after Queen of Denmark nosed him on the line.

Race 6 – Dancing On A Cloud (4)

Jockey: Qiniso Ngcobo | Trainer: Wengesai Masawi

Dancing On A Cloud has proven form on the Greyville Polytrack and won his most recent start on this surface. He steps back up to 2000m and has the benefit of an apprentice allowance.

This is a competitive handicap, but Dancing On A Cloud looks particularly interesting at potentially better odds than several of his rivals. iRace rates him as its Best Value Bet of the Greyville card.

Race 8 – Twocantango (10)

Jockey: Dezahn Louw | Trainer: Nathan Kotzen

Twocantango has been moving in the right direction since returning from a lengthy break and has finished close up in each of his last two outings. The step to 1600m should suit him.

Twocantango has already shown that he handles the Polytrack and can take another step forward over this trip. Green Mile arrives after a good win and Heaven's Will is another danger, but Twocantango gets the vote to close the meeting.
