Race 1 – Razzpath Rebel (6)

Jockey: Jeffrey Syster | Trainer: Mike/mathe Kock

The 3-yr-old bay gelding Razzpath Rebel has had 33 days since his first run, which saw him place second after an explosive burst took him from second last through to just missing out on a win in his first race. This kid has pace to burn.

Razzpath Rebel’s big challenge looks to come from Tenareef (4-3-2), while The Kid also shows promise after picking up third place in his first run.

Race 4 – Empress Of Peace (1)

Jockey: Richard Fourie | Trainer: T. Zackey

Empress Of Peace is a strong runner, with seven Top 3 finishes in her 10-race career, but he’s yet to break the tape first. The 3-yr-old bay filly has been running superbly consistently and has finished 3-2-4-2-2-3-3 ahead of this race.

Scented Alley looks a strong challenger after claiming third place in her first run 20 days ago. Another strong challenger is Pennys Choice, who has finished 3-4 in her last two runs, but I’m still confident of Empress’ claims to the win.

Race 6 – Palace Prince (1)

Jockey: Jason Gates | Trainer: S. J. Gray

Palace Prince looks in the form to take this by a length or two. The 4-yr-old bay colt has plenty of experience on the podium, claiming 12 Top 3 finishes in his 23 starts. He comes into the race on the back of a 3-1-1 run against strong fields

Palace Prince doesn’t have a lot of strong challengers in the field, with King’s Express (1-7-3-4-4), Fire ‘n Flames (7-7-4-5-2) and Diogenes (1-4-5-10-4) all likely to be hot on his tail. Giogenes won back-to-back races earlier this year but has struggled since then, but his nose for the win is worth paying attention to when choosing who to back.

Race 9 – Max The Magician (2)

Jockey: Richard Fourie | Trainer: R. R. Magner

Max The Magician has a world of experience and five career wins, but with 15 Top 3 wins out of 33 starts the 6-yr-old bay gelding is far from a total banker. His form into the race has been strong (3-2-4-2-7-2) and his last win was a year ago but he is the strongest runner in the field.

Quickfreeze, Wayne and Secretary Bird are backed to be on his tail, while Scarlett Heart had back-to-back wins in February but has had just three runs since then.
