There are two important knockout matches in two different sporting codes once again on Wednesday as the Indian Premier League and UEFA Champions League action heats up. Tottenham Hotspur visit Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena looking to overturn a 1-0 aggregate deficit, while the loser of the Play Off between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be out of the IPL. Here's what you need to know before betting on either of these two fixtures:

Ajax vs. Tottenham Hotspur (21:00 SAST)

Ajax stunned Mauricio Pochettino's men with a 1-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal tie thanks to Donny van de Beek's goal. For the home leg, the Eredivisie leaders are paying 2.10 for the victory, making them the bookies' favourites.

Tottenham will, however, be boosted by the return of Son Heung-Min. The South Korean star was the hero of their quarter-final victory over Manchester City but missed the first leg against Ajax through suspension. Spurs have struggled for form since that memorable triumph and will hope that Son can help them pull off another memorable upset.

Delhi Capitals vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad (16:00 SAST)

Delhi Capitals were unfortunate to miss out on a place in Tuesday's Indian Premier League qualifier between top two sides Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Like Mumbai and Chennai, the Capitals picked up 18 points. However, their inferior net run rate ultimately cost them dearly.

In order to recover from finishing below the top two, Delhi Capitals will have to play Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday and a victory would see them face the loser of the Indians vs. Super Kings fixture. Only then would they be one win away from a final date against the winner of Tuesday's fixture.

Delhi Capitals are favourites at 1.82 but a victory at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium is no small task against a team containing several big names.
