Team News

Black Rams

Head Coach Tanby Mattson was happy with his side's determination against the Canon Eagles last weekend: "The opponents were also a very strong team. Although the score may not have reflected it, we struggled greatly with their strength, especially in the wide channels. Even so, I am proud of the team for making solid adjustments in a tough situation and fighting to eliminate the opponents' strengths. We conceded a lot of goals, so we need to make some adjustments, but the fact that we were able to win and earn a bonus point means a lot this season. It was an important game for our employees and alumni as well, so I think it was a special victory."

Captain Ryuji Fujimura highlighted that his team needs to be more clinical and make fewer errors in their game plan to win matches: "I think our game plan is really good. However, we need to be able to execute under pressure, and while being aggressive on defence is good, there are times when we don't have the connection or discipline as a team, so it's important to see how much we can improve in those areas."

Verdict

The Black Rams have the better form coming into their match with the Urayasu D-Rocks and are tipped to cover the -12.5 handicap.
