Super Rugby form can hardly be taken into consideration with so many players missing. I am backing the Lions to bounce back from their poor performance last week and cover the -32.5 handicap.

For a number of years, the Brumbies have shown to be the strongest Australian franchise, and they will be wanting to show that to the world once again. The Canberra side lost their Super Rugby semi-final 37-17 away to the Chiefs after beating the Hurricanes 35-28 at home in the quarters.

The British & Irish Lions have come in for some criticism for their form and performances, but overall, they have done well. While they lost to Argentina, that was their first match together as a squad and they were missing a host of star players.

Once they arrived in Australia, the B+I Lions put 50 points past the Western Force and Queensland Reds. In both games they started slowly but grew into the games and completely dominated.

Last week was a tough watch for the Lions fans as they stuttered their way to a 21-10 victory over the Waratahs. However, that is exactly the kind of game that is often required to get the squad out of a comfort zone, and they will surely be better for it.
