The Bulls did the double on Western Province in the Currie Cup last season. Their last encounter ended 45-34 to the Bulls on home soil.

The Bulls finished second on the table in the 2022 Currie Cup but lost at home to Griquas in the semi-finals. This season began in horrible fashion in a big home defeat.

The Pretoria side has their work cut out for them with their top players competing in the URC. The same can however be said for their opponents this week.

Last week the Bulls were thrashed 63-15 at home by the defending champions, Pumas.

Western Province Form

After a poor season in 2022 where Province finished second from bottom, the most successful Currie Cup outfit will be looking to get back to the top of the table.

It will be tough given their best players feature for the Stormers in the URC. However, Western Province have built some depth and made a good start last weekend, beating the Lions 44-28 away.
