Lions vs Bulls Preview & Tips
The Bulls have been superb this season and should be too strong for their local rivals. I am backing the Bulls in the handicap market.

Head to Head
The Bulls lead 4-3 in their last seven matches against the Lions. They met a couple of weeks ago in the Currie Cup, a match the Bulls won 40-21 at Loftus Versveld.
Lions Form
The Lions are sixth on the Currie Cup table and still have hopes of reaching the semi-final. In order for that to happen they will need to start getting more wins under their belt.
They suffered three successive defeats to Griquas, Bulls and Pumas before sneaking over the line to beat Griquas 45-42 in their return game.
The Lions inability to put back-to-back victories together has cost them this season and it did so again. In midweek they travelled to Bloemfontein to face the Cheetahs. It was a very high scoring match which eventually ended 44-44.
Lions Team News
It is must-win time for the Lions so we can’t see Ivan van Rooyen make too many changes. Defensively they will however need drastic improvement.
Bulls Form
The Bulls are back at the top of the table after a brief stint in second place. They remain the favourites to win the Currie Cup but results have not all gone in their favour recently.
Last time the Bulls placed the Lions was just over two weeks ago, a match the Bulls won comfortably 40-21 at home. That was followed by a 34-13 victory in Cape Town against Western Province.
The Sharks then upset the odds in Durban to beat the Bulls 35-28. That result put the Durban-based outfit into top spot.
In midweek the Bulls proved too strong for Griquas, winning the match 56-33. It was a very tight contest until a few late tries saw the Bulls pull away.
Bulls Team News
Jake White seldom changes when he doesn’t need to. Rest is however key with three games this past week so he may look to freshen things up.
