It has been a strange season for the Nelspruit side in fact. They thrashed Griquas in round one and four, beating the Sharks in round three after being hammered 75-21 by the Lions in round two.

After defeating the Griquas in the fourth round, the Pumas drew 44-44 against the Sharks at home and last week suffered a 55-12 defeat in Johannesburg to the Lions.

The Bulls are flying high in the 2024 Currie Cup, topping the table after six rounds. They have won five games along with a draw.

The Pretoria-based outfit defeated Western Province in rounds one and four. In between those two wins, they beat the Griffons away and Cheetahs at home.

The return against the Cheetahs saw the Bulls draw 34-34 in Bloemfontein after holding a comfortable lead at half time. Last week, a weakened Bulls side thrashed the Griffons 55-21 at home.
