Defending champions Bordeaux cruised to an easy 50-28 home victory over the Northampton Saints last weekend after scoring 31 points in the first half.

Before that result, Bordeaux defeated the Bulls 46-33 in Pretoria and thumped the Scarlets 50-21 at home in their earlier pool matches.

Bordeaux have struggled to win away from home in the Top 14 this season. They lost 44-32 to Racing 92, Stade Francais 28-7, 56-13 to Toulouse, defeated Perpignan 27-12 and Castres 28-26 before losing 28-24 to Montpellier, and 34-19 to Clermont.

Bordeaux are 1st in Pool 4 with 15 points from three games.

The Bordeaux Begles have been in solid form lately, winning five of their last six matches, but they have been prone to losing away from home this season.
