Northampton Saints are enjoying a fantastic season thus far with 10 wins in 14 Rugby Premiership matches. They currently top the Premiership able by five points.

To add to that, the Saints have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup after beating Munster 24-14 last weekend. Prior to that, Northampton beat Saracens 41-30 in the Premiership.

Over their last 12 fixtures in all competitions, the Saints have been victorious on 11 occasions. Their only defeat in that period came in a 52-21 loss at Bristol when many of their players were on international duty for the Six Nations.

Northampton are at full strength this weekend. With a semi-final within their grasp, no risk will be taken on home soil.

The Bulls, like their opponents, are having a fine season. They are currently third on the URC table with nine wins in 13 games.

In the Champions Cup the Pretoria outfit has also put a marker down, although, it must be said, their away form has been suspect at times. The Bulls have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions.

At the end of March, Jake White’s side were hammered 47-14 at Leinster, although they did bounce back to beat the Dragons 31-10 away the followed week. Last weekend the Bulls were in top form as they ran away with it against Lyon at home, winning the match 59-19.

Jake White has put a strong side out on the park for Saturday’s clash in Northampton. It will be a tough fixture to overcome, but they have a proven ability to win when their backs are against the wall.
