The Stormers made a flying start to their season in the URC, winning their first wo games with bonus points. They, however, lost their next four fixtures.

John Dobson’s side ended their four-match losing streak by beating Zebre 31-7 at home a fortnight ago. However, in what was a surprising call, Dobson sent an inexperienced side to Leicester Tigers last weekend in the Champions Cup opener.

To be fair, the Stormers youngsters impressed in England, losing 35-26 when many thought they would be beaten far more comfortably. This is, however, a massive game for the Cape Town outfit against the defending champions and they will want to put in a big performance.

Stormers will make wholesale changes from the young side that featured last weekend. Expect all the big names to return.

La Rochelle Form

La Rochelle have quickly become one of the big sides in Europe and have won the Champions Cup for the last two seasons. This season has however been quite inconsistent for the French outfit.

In the Top 14, La Rochelle are currently ninth with just four wins from their nine games. They have missed some big players and since their return their form has improved.

Coming into the opening weekend of the Champions Cup last week, La Rochelle had won three of their last four games. But, in a repeat of the Champions Cup final last season, La Rochelle went down 16-9 at home to Leinster.

It won’t phase the defending champions too much as they will still be confident of progressing to the knockout stage.
