Honda Heat vs Canon Eagles Predictions - Eagles set to thrash Heat in Japan Rugby League One

Honda Heat have won their last two matches against the Eagles. Their last encounter was however in 2020 and much has changed since.

Honda Heat are rock bottom of Conference A in the Japan Rugby League One. After seven games, they have lost all their fixtures and have a -340 points difference.

It has been a shocking season for the Heat who have little to play for. They have conceded 50+ points in most of their seven games, the only fixture where they somewhat competed in was in December when they lost 34-16 to Tokyo Sungoliath.

Over the last two matches, the Heat have lost 70-12 to Wild Knights and 54-7 to Toyota Verblitz. Both games were away from home with their last home fixture ending in a 62-13 defeat to the Blue Revs.

Changes are expected as the Heat tries to get some players ready for next season. This season is all but over for them.

Canon Eagles are third in Conference B, one point off Toyota Verblitz in second. Wild Knights, who have won all seven games are 15 clear of the Eagles.

While sitting pretty in third, the Eagles need to get a win under the belt. They have lost their last two games in the competition.

Towards the end of January, the Canon Eagles lost 31-27 at home to Kobelco Steelers before going down 27-7 at Brave Lupus last weekend.

Expect their strongest available side to take to the field on Friday. A bonus point win in paramount to the Eagles season.
