Taranaki are two from two in the opening two rounds of the 2025 NPC. They have certainly looked a side capable of once again challenging for the title this season.

Against Northland in the opening round, Taranaki came away with a 23-3 victory on home soil. It was a dominant display in most facets of the game, particularly in the tight phases.

Last week, Taranaki were in free-flowing form away to North Harbour, winning the game 46-24. They picked up a bonus point along the way.
