2025 Rugby Championship Odds - All Blacks favourites ahead of Springboks
The 2025 Rugby Championship is finely balanced as all four teams—New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and Argentina—have each won and lost one match. New Zealand remain tournament favorites, especially with two home games against South Africa, but a Springbok win at Eden Park could shake up predictions. Australia and Argentina are poised for key clashes that could influence the title race. Round three is pivotal, with competitive odds highlighting the uncertainty. Fans and bettors alike should expect a wide-open and unpredictable contest.
- All four teams have 1 win and 1 loss so far.
- New Zealand are current favorites (1.53 odds), with home advantage.
- A Springbok win at Eden Park or Australian/Argentinian upsets could reshuffle predictions.
- Tournament remains highly unpredictable going into Round 3.
- Round three results likely to be pivotal for the final outcome.

The 2025 Rugby Championship goes into round three this weekend (6 September) with the competition evenly poised. All four teams have won one and lost one.
New Zealand went into the tournament as favourites, mostly because they had two home fixtures against South Africa - the first of which takes place at Eden Park this weekend. The All Blacks are still the favourites with their odds dropping to 153 with 10bet.
The Rugby Championship is very open at the moment and anything can still happen. Victory for the Springboks this weekend and they could very quickly become tournament favourites while Australia and Argentina are expected to deliver a humdinger as well.
Australia will feel they are well placed especially if they can beat Los Pumas twice in the next fortnight before going into the Bledisloe Cup. However, if Argentina manage one victory in Australia, they could be heading to South Africa with the title in mind.
Round three will tell us a lot about where the tournament is heading but like the first two rounds, whatever it tells us, it's unlikely to be a foregone conclusion.
If the Springboks end the 50-match unbeaten run of the All Blacks at Eden Park, those that risk backing the Boks at 3.50 this week could pay off. But, going by performances to date, Australia and Argentina will have plenty of say and they offer great value, too.
