Exeter have been in solid form lately and have been performing well at home this season. The Leicester Tigers have struggled to beat Exeter away from home in recent matchups.
Exeter have won 4 of their last 5 fixtures in all competitions.

  • Exeter have won 5 consecutive home games in all competitions.
  • Exeter have won 4 of their last 6 home matches against Leicester.
  • Leicester Tigers have won 3 of their last 5 fixtures in all competitions.
  • Leicester Tigers have won 2 of their last 5 away matches in all competitions.
  • Leicester Tigers have lost 3 consecutive away games at Exeter.

Head to Head

The Leicester Tigers have a slight edge with 18 victories to 15 against Exeter in 33 meetings.

Exeter Form

Exeter scored two penalties and a converted try in the first half against Saracens last weekend to lead 13-12 at half-time.

Exeter had a solid second half, scoring three tries and a conversion to beat Saracens 30-24 away from home.

The Exeter Chiefs defeated Newcastle 38-15, Harlequins 38-0, Gloucester 39-12, Bristol 22-17, and the Cheetahs 42-12 in their last five home games in all competitions.

Exeter are 2nd in the Premiership table with 28 points from seven matches.

Exeter will fancy their chances to pocket all the points on offer when they host the Leicester Tigers, as they have been in great shape this season and are on a five-match winning streak at home.

Leicester Tigers Form

The Leicester Tigers whitewashed Gloucester in the first half last weekend, scoring two tries, a conversion, and a penalty try to lead 19-0 at the break.

Leicester continued to pile on the points in the second half, scoring four tries and three conversions to win 45-14 at home.

The Leicester Tigers lost 42-24 to Bristol, 32-26 to Northampton Saints, defeated Newcastle 10-8 and 39-17, before losing 39-20 to La Rochelle in their last five away games in all competitions.

Leicester are 4th in the Premiership standings with 26 points from seven games.

Leicester Tigers have lacked consistency in recent outings and have lost three consecutive away matches to Exeter, which is far from ideal, especially as their opponents have found form this season.

Team News

Exeter

Head Coach Rob Baxter recently commented on his team's determination: "The lads never look down and out do they? They get on with it, they get up and they fight, and we've talked a lot at times about sometimes just getting off the floor and getting a fight and a little tackle gets made, forcing a knock-on, you force one more error, you just stay in the fight and I think today was a perfect example."

Exeter have tied down scrum-half Stephen Varney for the long term, confirming a new three-year deal for the Italian international.

Henry Slade kicked over two conversions and two penalties.
