The third season of the United Rugby Championship kicks off on 21 October 2023 when all 16 competing teams play over that weekend. It promises to be an interesting start to the tournament this year as some players will still be at the World Cup, while others would recently have been knocked out.

That means that many of the top sides will be missing some key international players for the first few rounds.

The URC has quickly grown since the South African sides joined two seasons ago post-COVID. They have all left their mark already, with the first season featuring two South African sides (Stormers and Bulls) in the final.

Last season was just as competitive with the Stormers once again reaching the final. They also, for the second year running, had a home final.

Unfortunately, it was not to be a double as Munster spoiled the party in Cape Town. It was a glorious moment for the Munster men who have struggled in recent years for silverware.

2023/24 United Rugby Championship Odds

Leinster are once again priced as favourites, as they have been almost every season. However, they have suffered semi-final defeats to the Bulls and Munster in the last two seasons.

Defending champions, Munster are second favourites at 6.00 with bet.co.za while the Stormers are paying 6.50.
