The Lions return to Johannesburg after three successive losses on tour in Europe. It was another horrid tour for the Lions who just don’t look like a team that can compete against top sides.

They lost 33-20 to Cardiff in round one before losing 22-20 against Zebre. Last weekend, the Lions were thrashed 41-15 by Benetton in Italy.

Scarlets have only played two fixtures in three rounds after their round two fixture was postponed. They have lost both games they have played.

In round one, the Scarlets went down 34-21 at home to Munster. Last weekend, in round three, they were hammered 34-0 by the Stormers on home soil.

Last week was a particularly poor performance, they struggled in every facet of the game and hardly threatened the scorers over 80 minutes.
