Munster made a slow start to the season as they look to defend their URC title. They have improved of late and currently find themselves fifth on the table.

To finish in the top four Munster will need to keep winning and have other results fall in their favour. A win here will certainly close the gap on the Bulls.

In the URC, Munster have lost two of their last three games but those two defeats were by less than a score. Over the last two weeks, the former European Champions beat La Rochelle 25-24 away from home in the Champions Cup last 16 before losing 47-29 to Bordeaux in the quarter-final.

Munster have been through two very tough and physical weeks in Europe. It is very likely that they will rest some key players.

Bulls Form

The Bulls will still be eyeing a second-place finish after winning 10 of their 14 matches. They are just four points off Glasgow in second.

Since the turn of the year, inconsistency has plagued Jake White’s side. They lost at home to the Sharks and Stormers but managed to beat Leinster and the Lions. Their last URC game saw the Bulls thrash Zebre 63-24 at home.

In the Challenge Cup over the last two weeks, the Bulls beat Bayonne 32-22 away before going down in the quarter-final 34-38 to Edinburgh.

Jake White will need a result from this game, he may even take a losing bonus point at this point. I expect a strong selection this weekend while he may sacrifice the game next week against the Warriors.
