Munster vs Glasgow Preview
Munster are clear favourites at home given their form over the last few months. Glasgow have a good side though, so I do expect this to be quite close.

- Glasgow Injuries & Team News
- Munster have won their last 10 URC matches.
- Munster have won 5 of their last 6 home matches.
- Munster beat Glasgow by 11 points earlier this season.
- Munster have failed to cover the -8 handicap in 2 of their last 3 matches.
- Glasgow have won 9 of their last 11 URC matches.
- Glasgow have lost 2 of their last 3 away matches.
Head to Head
These two last met in mid-November 2023 with Munster winning 40-29 at home.
Munster Form
Munster made a slow start to their season but came storming back to top the table by two points. They have been in great form in 2024 and at home will prove tough to stop.
In the URC, Munster have won their last 10 matches, so their confidence will be sky high. The defending champions comfortably saw off Ospreys 23-7 at home in the quarter-final last weekend.
Prior to that, Munster beat Ulster, Edinburgh and Connacht. Perhaps more impressively, they defeated both the Bulls and Lions in South Africa before that run.
Munster Injuries & Team News
Munster have a few niggles, but they should be able to field their strongest side on Saturday.
Glasgow Form
Glasgow finished fourth on the URC table but were only three points off top. At one point it looked like they would top the table, but a couple of poor results cost them in the end.
In mid-May, Glasgow lost away to the Bulls and Lions which really put a spanner in the works. They did return home to beat bottom of the table, Zebre 38-26 but it wasn’t remotely convincing enough.
Last week, on home soil in the quarter-final, Glasgow were good though, beating the two-time finalists, Stormers 27-10.
Glasgow Injuries & Team News
I expect Glasgow to pick an unchanged team from last week, if injuries allow.
Verdict
Glasgow are backed to get inside the eight-point handicap at Munster.
