Munster vs Zebre Predictions

Munster should have the power to get all five points this weekend despite missing some big international stars. However, Zebre have shown themselves to be a very solid side this season so I’m backing them to get inside the 27-point handicap.

Munster are struggling down in ninth place on the URC table with five wins, a draw and four defeats this season. They will need to start getting some positive results if they are to defend their title this season.

In mid-Jan, Munster beat Toulon 29-18 away in the Champions Cup before losing 26-23 at home to Northampton the following week. Upon their return to URC action two weeks ago, Munster smashed Scarlets 42-7 away from home.

A bonus point win at home this weekend will almost certainly push the Irish giants up the table. Despite being ninth, they are still just three points off third place in a very congested table.

Munster will not have their Irish internationals this weekend. However, their squad should be more than good enough to secure the win.

Zebre Form

Zebre are having a pretty decent season by their standards. They have just one win in 10 URC games along with a draw. Currently the Italian side is on 13 points, three points clear of the bottom side.

While victories have not come frequently, Zebre have been very competitive in most games this season. They have lost just once by more than seven points in their last six matches.

Their last outing was at home to Edinburgh, a game Zebre lost 24-19. In Europe, Zebre beat the Dragons 20-17 at home in mid-Jan and lost by a point to Pau away a week later.
