Benetton were very strong last weekend and while I expect the Stormers to be too good this Saturday, I do feel it the game will be won by less than 10 points.

The Stormers moved into the top eight with their win last weekend and now will want to focus on looking up, rather than down. Their next three games are all at home and they want to get 15 points from those.

The season has not gone very well for the Cape Town side, but they have still managed to get key results. The former champions beat the Bulls 19-16 away at the start of March before defeating the Scarlets 29-17 away. It was followed by a 38-34 loss to Ulster away but that was a fixture the Stormers really should have won.

Last weekend, while the Stormers weren’t convincing at home, they managed a 34-29 victory over Connacht. Victory this weekend will put them in a good place heading into the final couple of weeks.

Benetton Form

Benetton are having another strong season and currently find themselves fifth on the table. They have had eight wins, six losses and a draw in the URC thus far.

Despite being fifth, Benetton are only four points ahead of 11th place, so things can change quickly with a defeat. Recent form is, however, certainly in the Italians favour.

Benetton beat Ulster at home in mid-February before losing 38-30 away to Connacht. They bounced back to beat Edinburgh and Cardiff at home by narrow margins. A 39-37 loss away to Castres in Europe did not hamper them as they beat the Lions 42-31 away last weekend.
