Ulster vs Cardiff Preview
Ulster are not having a great season, but they still have a quality side. However, Cardiff have shown good signs in recent weeks, so I am backing the visitors to get within the 10-point handicap.

- Cardiff have lost 9 of their last 13 URC matches.
Head to Head
Last season Ulster beat Cardiff 42-20 in Wales.
Ulster Form
Ulster are not having their best season as they are struggling down in eighth place on the URC table. After 13 games, they have only managed six victories.
At the start of March, Ulster beat the Dragons 49-26 at home but followed it up with two defeats to the Sharks and Stormers, both in South Africa. They then bounced back to beat Montpellier in the Champions Cup.
Last weekend, in the quarterfinal of the Champions Cup, Ulster were well beaten by Clermont 53-14 in France. It was a horror show from the Irish club and they’ll need to bounce back this weekend.
Ulster Injuries & Team News
Ulster will be eager to climb the table and with Europe now behind them, their focus will be on the URC. They should select a full-strength lineup.
Cardiff Form
Cardiff have three wins, a draw and nine defeats in 13 URC games which places them 12th on the table.
While recent results have not been favourable to the Blues, they have actually been quite impressive. They kicked March off with a 33-20 defeat to Leinster at home, a respectable result all considered.
Cardiff then traveled to Glasgow where they lost 17-13. An error or two less and that result could have been vastly different. Last week the Blues were magnificent in taking Munster to the death in Ireland, but they eventually lost 20-15.
Cardiff Injuries & Team News
Cardiff have been competitive in recent weeks without much luck. I do, however, expect them t change things up this weekend.
Verdict
Cardiff have been solid in recent while Ulster have failed to reach anywhere near their best. While Ulster should have enough at home, I fancy the Blues to get within 10 points.
