Marseille vs Atalanta Predictions - Value on the Visitors in the Europa League

This is going to be the first head to head encounter between Marseille and Atalanta. 

After two consecutive draws in Ligue 1, Marseille returned to winning ways last weekend in a tough matchup against Lens 2-1. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke the deadlock in the first minute, Wesley Said scoring an equalizer in the 77th. Pape Gueye secured three points with his goal just before the stoppage time. 

Earlier this month, Jean Gasset’s side had two 2-2 draws against Toulouse and Nice. They are currently sitting in 7th place on the Ligue 1 table. 

To reach the Europa League semi-finals, Marseille eliminated Benfica after a penalty shootout. The first leg in Portugal was won by the Eagles 1-0, the French outfit winning 1-0 at home, Faris Moumbagna scoring a late goal. 

Bamo Meite, Bilal Nadir, Chancel Mbemba, Quenting Merlin and Valentin Rongier are injured. 

Samuel Gigot is suspended. 

Atalanta are one of the hottest teams in Italy right now, claiming three consecutive victories across competitions. 

The most recent one, last weekend in Serie A, was against Empoli 2-0, Mario Pasalic converting a penalty in the first half, Ademola Lookman on target in the 51st minute.  

La Dea also demolished Fiorentina 4-1 in Coppa Italia earlier this month and advanced to the grand finals where they will face Juventus in mid-May.  

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side advanced to the Europa League semi-finals by eliminating Liverpool, winning at Anfield 3-0, while losing the second tie at home 1-0. 

Emil Holm and Rafael Toloi are injured, while Isak Hien is suspended.
