With the Six Nations on a break, the United Rugby Championship returns for a full round of action on 27 & 28 February 2026.

The two Friday fixtures see Cardiff host Leinster before Edinburgh and Scarlets meet. There are six further games on Saturday, most notably two South African derbies between the Bulls and Sharks and Lions vs Stormers.

Cardiff vs Leinster

Cardiff are having a fantastic season and sit fifth after 11 matches. They have won seven and lost four and are just four points off Leinster in second place. Leinster are favourites at 1.36 with Cardiff paying 3.20. The handicap, paying 1.91 both ways, is sitting at 7.5 points.

Edinburgh vs Scarlets

Edinburgh and Scarlets will both be desperate for a positive result as both sides are in the bottom four. The hosts have won just three games of their 10 while Scarlets, in 15th place, have won three, drawn one and lost six. Edinburgh are overwhelming favourites at 1.14 with the visitors priced at 5.50. The handicap is set at 13.5.

Lions vs Stormers

The Stormers began their season very well, winning their opening eight matches, but have lost their last two, both against the Sharks. Currently the Cape side is third with the Lions sitting in seventh with five wins, five defeats and a draw.

Despite their two defeats, the Stormers are favoruites at 1.50 and the Lions are paying 2.62. The handicap is set at 5.5 points and is valued at 1.90 both ways.

Bulls vs Sharks

The Bulls have been far from their best this season and need results to stay in the hunt for a quarterfinal berth, however, the same goes for the Sharks in 10th place. The Sharks beat the Stormers twice recently but are still underdogs at Loftus, priced at 4.33 with the Bulls paying a measly 1.22. The handicap is set at 10.5 points and is certainly in the Sharks favour in my opinion.

Connacht vs Glasgow

Glasgow are top of the URC table with nine wins in their 11 matches but go into this fixture as underdogs. The reason being the number of players they are missing due to the Six Nations. Connacht, down in 12th place, will be desperate to get an unlikely win, given the circumstances.

The handicap is set at 3.5 points with Connacht paying 1.57 for the win and Glasgow 2.37. This is one game I am likely to steer clear of.

Dragons vs Benetton

Benetton are not having their strongest season, currently in 11th place while the Dragons are 14th having won two, drawn two and lost seven. However, given the amount of Benetton players with the Italian national side, the Dragons have a real shot here at home.

The Italian side are still favourites at 1.72 with Dragons paying 2.10, but the handicap is set at just 1.5 points. Much like the previous fixture, this is one I'd steer clear of given the number of players missing from Benetton.

Munster vs Zebre

Zebre are bottom of the table with just two wins in 11 matches while Munster have won seven of their 11 - currently in sixth place. Despite many players with the Irish side, Munster still have a very strong side to put out, thus they are still only paying 1.02 while Zebre are priced at 13.00. The handicap of 24.5 is certainly in play.

Ospreys vs Ulster

After a disappointing campaign last season, Ulster are back this year, winning seven of their 10 matches and currently sit fourth on the table. Ospreys have not been poor either with four wins, two draws and five losses in their 11 games.

Both sides are missing several players to international duty but despite that, Ulster remain favourites at 1.44 and a handicap of -6.5. Ospreys are paying 2.75 for the win.
