Canada extended their run without a victory after another loss last weekend. Spain registered their first win over the USA in their previous outing.

  • Spain have won 4 of their last 6 fixtures.
  • Spain have won 4 of their last 5 away matches.
  • Canada have lost 6 consecutive fixtures.
  • Canada have lost 4 of their last 5 home matches.

Head to Head

Spain have a slight edge with two victories to one against Canada.

Canada Form

Canada scored two tries and a penalty in the first half against Belgium, going into the break with a slender one-point advantage.

However, Canada could only muster a solitary try in the second half as they fell to a 25-18 loss at home to Belgium.

Before that result, Canada lost 43-37 to Namibia, 73-12 to Scotland, and defeated Romania 35-22 before losing 55-28 to Japan and 44-14 to Chile in their last five home matches.

Canada must find a way to turn their fortunes around after they suffered a sixth consecutive loss last weekend, but it will not be easy, as Spain have been playing well on the road lately.

Spain added a penalty and a converted try in the second to secure a 31-20 victory against the USA away from home.

Before that victory, Spain lost 34-30 to Samoa and defeated Tonga 29-20, Switzerland 43-13, and Portugal 42-31 before losing 46-28 to Georgia in their last five away outings.

Spain will have the belief that they can record consecutive victories when they face an out-of-sorts Canadian side currently on a lengthy losing streak.
