England vs Fiji Preview
England are obvious favourites at home against Fiji with the handicap set at 10 points. However, with England in poor form, I fancy Fiji to get within that margin, but much depends on what teams are selected. I would not write off Fiji winning this game either.

Head to Head
England have won all seven of their previous matches against Fiji. They last met in 2017 when England won 58-15.
England Form
England’s World Cup build-up has been poor on the field and very disruptive off it to date. They have played three warm-up games to date, losing two and narrowly winning one.
After losing to Wales 20-9 away, England beat the same opposition a week later at Twickenham 19-17. However, that isn’t the real story of the match as Wales basically fielded a second-string side and arguably should have won the match.
Owen Farrell was red-carded during the match before he was cleared after the game by a panel. There was a huge uproar as the tackle was clearly illegal, and World Rugby had to appeal the hearing.
Last week against Ireland, England lost 29-10 in Dublin. It was another very average performance which saw another red card for a high tackle, this time to Billy Vunipola.
England Injuries & Team News
Owen Farrell has received a four-game suspension after World Rugby appealed the decision. He will miss this match and the first two Rugby World Cup games. Vunipola has received a two-game ban so misses this clash and the opening World Cup game.
Fiji Form
Fiji are quite the opposite to England at the moment. Their build-up has been superb, and while they have always been an exciting team to watch, there is a real feeling that Fiji will ruffle plenty of feathers come the World Cup.
The Fijians have won four of their last five matches and the continuity of playing in Super Rugby is starting to show. They comfortably beat Samoa, Tonga, and Japan before losing 34-17 to France last week.
That defeat won’t dent the confidence of Fiji as the performance was really good. Had they not made some crucial errors and taken their chances that scoreline could have looked vastly different.
Fiji Injuries & Team News
This is Fiji’s final Rugby World Cup warm-up game. They will likely be close to full strength.
Verdict
Fiji are backed to cover the +10 handicap with an upset win not completely ruled out.
