In the previous match, Georgia lost 33-5 to South Africa, after trailing 12-5 at half-time. A fired-up Georgian side playing their typical physical game put South Africa under pressure in the first quarter. Georgia scored the first points with winger Luka Tabatadze crossing in the corner for an unconverted try.

Georgia's discipline let them down in the second half and they only had their full complement of 15 players on the field for the last 10 minutes.

Before that, Georgia played three matches at the U20 International Series in South Africa. They beat Fiji 29-23 and thrashed Chile 59-26 before losing 57-14 to the Junior Boks.

The Junior Lelos enjoyed some success at last year's World Rugby U20 Championship. They lost 35-28 to Ireland, 38-19 to New Zealand, and drew 19-19 with Italy during the group stages. They then defeated Spain 43-12 and Scotland 22-7 in the play-offs to finish 9th overall.

Uruguay U20 Form

In their previous match, Uruguay were totally dominated by Wales who kept them scoreless in a 47-0 defeat, after trailing 26-0 at the break.

Uruguay last played in a tournament at the 2024 World Rugby U20 Trophy. They lost 25-7 to Kenya, 32-15 to the USA, and beat the Netherlands 32-16 before losing 75-22 to Japan to finish fourth overall.

Uruguay has leaked 151 points and scored 7 in their two tournament matches.

After winning just one of their previous five matches, Uruguay look very unlikely to pose much of a threat in their Pool A clash with Georgia.
