Scotland had an average 2025 Six Nations campaign but still put in enough good performances to show they have a quality side. Since the completion of that tournament, they have been quite inconsistent but were missing key players during July to the B+I Lions.
In July, Scotland beat the Maori All Blacks, lost to Fiji and beat Samoa with a squad missing most of their key players. They began the November internationals; Scotland started with a huge 85-0 victory over USA at Murrayfield.
Last weekend, Scotland would have fancied their chances of winning against New Zealand for the first time in their history. A slow start saw the hosts go 17-0 down at half time but a momentum shift in the second stanza saw the Scots pull it back to 17-17.
While the All Blacks again pulled away to win 25-17, the reality of the match was different. Scotland were twice held up over the line during the match and Darcy Graham butchered a try he’d score 9 out of 10 times.

Argentina Form
Argentina have made marked improvements in recent years and can now easily be seen as capable of beating anyone. This year alone they have beaten New Zealand and Australia while losing by just two points to South Africa in the final Rugby Championship match.
The biggest difference in 2025 to years before is that Los Pumas are a lot more consistent in their performance. South Africa did blow them out of the water in one game but in general, Argentina have made a fist of all their defeats.
In their opening Autumn Nations Series match last weekend, Argentina proved too good for Wales in Cardiff, winning the match 52-28. This will give them huge confidence ahead of this fixture against Scotland.
