Uruguay were very poor against Argentina last weekend, so I do expect some improvement from them. Much depends on what team Scotland puts out, but I still fancy the hosts to get within 25 points of the visitors.

These two have only met once before and that took place at the 1999 Rugby World Cup. Scotland won that match 43-12.
Uruguay Form
Uruguay were very impressive at the 2023 Rugby World Cup and are expected to continue to improve in coming years.
Since the completion of the World Cup, Uruguay have played two matches. They played France on 10 July and Argentina last weekend.
Against France, Uruguay put in a strong performance, losing 43-28 at home. However, last weekend things went badly wrong as Argentina cruised to a 79-5 win.

After last weeks shocking performance, I expect Uruguay to ring the changes for this encounter.
Scotland Form
Scotland have been impressive in 2024 thus far. They were very good in the Six Nations, despite the one poor performance that saw them lose in Italy.
In July, the Scots have embarked on an American tour in order to give some younger players a run. They thrashed Canada 73-12 before seeing off the USA 42-7.
Last weekend, Scotland put in another decent performance, beating Chile 52-11. While the opposition have all been tier two sides, the Scots have done the business when required.

Once again Gregor Townsend is expected to make a number of changes. Of their four games on tour, this should be the toughest one.
