Wales vs Argentina Predictions - Wales to show character in loss to Argentina
The upcoming clash between Wales and Argentina is significant for both teams, particularly for Wales, which is currently on a recovery mission with new coach Steve Tandy. Having lost 18 of their last 19 matches, Wales hopes to find some form despite recent struggles. Wales will have a strong lineup with key players like Jac Morgan and Tomos Williams returning. Argentina, boosted by recent victories over powerhouses like New Zealand and Australia, look formidable. Nonetheless, Wales might have a fighting chance to keep the scoreline tight.
- Wales has lost 18 of their last 19 matches.
- Argentina recently defeated New Zealand and Australia.
- Wales might challenge Argentina within the 13.5 point handicap.

Wales vs Argentina Predictions
Wales will be hopeful of some positive this November with new coach, Steve Tandy in charge. However, this is a tough first fixture against an in-form Argentina side. Wales will come out fighting though, so while I believe Argentina will win, I can see the hosts getting within 13.5 points.

- Wales have lost 18 of their last 19 matches.
- Wales lost all 5 2025 Six Nations matches.
- Argentina have won 2 of their last 3 matches against Wales.
- Argentina have beaten Australia and New Zealand in 2025.
Head to Head
Wales have historically had the better of this fixture, but Argentina have only lost once in their last four meetings. There has been a draw, and two Los Pumas wins. Their last meeting was in the 2023 Rugby World Cup quarter-final, a match Argentina won 29-17.
Wales Form
Wales are in the midst of their worst run in recent memory and there is no clear way out for them. Five years ago, they were still winning the Six Nations, now, they are struggling to win a single game.
This season, Wales finished bottom of the Six Nations, losing all five matches. In fact, they were on a 18-match losing streak until they ended that run against Japan in July this year – winning the second Test 31-22. That was after they lost the first Test.
Prior to that, their last victory came in the 2023 Rugby World Cup group stage. They lost the quarter-final to Argentina and that losing streak continued through two Six Nations campaigns.
Wales Injuries & Team News
Jac Morgan and Tomos Williams returns to the side after missing the Japan matches as they were part of the British & Irish Lions squad in July. The big news is that Louis Rees-Zammit is on the bench after returning from his NFL stint. Steve Tandy, the new head coach, will be looking for his stars to make an impact.
Argentina Form
Argentina will be very positive about where they are as a squad coming into this Northern Hemisphere tour. They were very impressive during the Rugby Championship, despite finishing bottom.
After a poor performance in round one against New Zealand, Los Pumas bounced back to get their first-ever win over New Zealand at home a week later. This was followed up with a narrow defeat in Australia but bounced back again to beat the Wallabies a week later.
Their final two games both ended in defeat to South Africa. They were thrashed in the first game but lost by just a point at Twickenham a week later.
Argentina Injuries & Team News
Geronimo Prisciantelli continues at flyhalf after impressing in the Rugby Championship. Santiago Carreras starts at fullback with the rest of the backline filled with experience.
Verdict
Wales are backed to get within the 13.5 handicap against Argentina at the Principality.
