The Cheetahs entertain the Bulls at the Toyota Stadium in Super Rugby Unlocked on Friday evening. Both sides won in the opening round of the competition, but the Cheetahs were far more convincing in their efforts.

The Cheetahs made the perfect start to Super Rugby Unlocked last weekend. Their 53-31 win over the Pumas proved that the side from Bloemfontein are ready to prove themselves against the regular Super Rugby sides once again.

While it wasn't a perfect victory, with some complacency creeping in during the second half, the Cheetahs showed enough in their play to worry some of the so-called bigger franchises in the competition.

The Cheetahs have picked an unchanged line-up after their impressive victory over the Pumas last weekend. Clayton Blommetjies will make his 100th appearance for the franchise.

The Bulls will be disappointed in their play during their win over Griquas. Coach Jake White was far from happy with his side's showing, but he feels it is only a matter of time before the Bulls hit their straps.

The Bulls can count themselves lucky that they did not lose to Griquas, as the final score of 30-23 could have been very different had the side from Kimberley not fallen off the pace towards the end.

The Bulls have made five changes to the side that narrowly escaped against Griquas last week. The biggest change being that of eighth-man, Duane Vermeulen who comes in for Tim Agaba.

At hooker Johan Grobbelaar replaces Corniel Els. Embrose Papier comes in for Ivan van Zyl at scrum-half while Clinton Swart starts at inside centre with Corniel Hendricks shifting to outside centre.

David Kriel moves to the wing as Travis Ismaiel misses out on the squad completely. Loose-forward Nizaam Carr could come off the bench to make his Bulls debut.

The last meeting of the sides took place during the 2019 Currie Cup, with the Cheetahs winning 43-27 at Loftus Versfeld.
