Fijian Drua vs Western Force Predictions

Western Force need a win here to put themselves back into the playoff spots, however, Fijian Drua have a decent record at home. I am backing the hosts to win but the Force are tipped to get within the 9.5 handicap.

Head to Head

Western Force have won four of their five games against Fijian Drua.

Fijian Drua Form

Fijian Drua are bottom of the Super Rugby table with just three wins from their 12 games. They are on 15 points, seven shy of the playoff spots.

The Drua’s season has been their worst since joining Super Rugby, however, their home performances have largely been at a decent level. Despite going down last week to the Blues at home, Fijian Drua did beat the Reds and Waratahs in the preceding home games.

Western Force Form

The Western Force started their season well but have fallen away dramatically over recent months. They have four wins from 12 games along with a draw and seven losses.

At this point, the Western Force are only out of the playoffs due to a poorer points difference to the Waratahs. A win here for the Perth side could give them the required boost to make the playoffs.

Since a 17-17 draw at home to the Hurricanes in mid-April, the Western Force have lost three in a row. They have also conceded 56, 40 & 33 points in those three games.

Verdict

Western Force will be eager to impress as they search for a route into the playoffs. I am backing this game to be close with value on the visitors in the handicap market.
