The Highlanders' stellar attack will be licking their lips ahead of the clash with the Waratahs at home. The Tahs’ have conceded 166 points in their last three outings, so my best bet is for the Highlanders to cover the -25 handicap and then some.

- Waratahs have lost their last 3 matches by 16, 27 & 26 points.

Head to Head
The Highlanders hold a narrow 6-5 advantage over the Waratahs over their last 11 matches.
The New Zealand side has however won the last four at home against their opponents.
The Highlanders are fourth on the Super Rugby trans-Tasman table with three wins from their three matches. They have however picked up just one bonus point in those three matches which puts them two points off top of the table.
The Highlanders campaign began with a convincing 40-19 victory at home against the Reds. It was followed up with a 25-15 win over the Western Force.
Last week the Dunedin-based outfit were convincing 42-27 winners against the Rebels. It was a match that started well but the Highlanders slipped off the intensity late on to allow the Rebels to narrow the gap.
If the Highlanders have any prospects of winning the Super Rugby trans-Tasman, they will have to score a bonus point win against the Waratahs.
Highlanders Injuries & Team News
All Black scrumhalf, Aaron Smith is rested as per national protocol for this match. Loose forward Shannon Frizell misses out through injury.
The Waratahs are perhaps the one Australian side that won’t be too disappointed with Super Rugby trans-Tasman. They have yet to win but have shown signs of improvement, particularly in the attacking sense.
The Sydney-based outfit scored 48 points on the opening weekend. Although they lost 64-48 to the Hurricanes it was a Tahs’ side we had not seen this season as they had little trouble crossing the try-line.
Round two saw the Waratahs lose 48-21 at the Blues. It was another decent attacking display but defensively they are just not up to the standard required. In their last match the Waratahs suffered a 54-28 defeat at home to the Crusaders.
Waratahs Injuries & Team News
The Waratahs are having a mini injury crisis at the moment. They have lost Angus Bell, Harry Johnson-Holmes and Te Tera Faulkner to injury this week.
Hugh Sinclair and Max Douglas remain on the sidelines after going off injured in round two.

The Highlanders have won three in a row and need a bonus point against a defensively poor Waratahs side to keep their title ambitions alive. I'm tipping the Highlanders to win by more than 25 points on Saturday.
