Head coach Ono Akiyuki acknowledged his team's fighting spirit in their first win of the season: "As a team, we wanted to show the rugby we've been practicing for 15 weeks in preparation for the opening match, and while there were some ups and downs, I think that's the result of fighting for the entire 80 minutes. I feel that the players who took to the pitch at the end were able to unite their beliefs. Based on this result, we will reflect on it thoroughly, reset ourselves, and move on to the next game."
