Ulster’s new arrival, Angus Bell, looks set to make his debut this weekend against  Racing 92.

Assistant coach Mark Sexton spoke ahead of Ulster’s opening EPCR Challenge Cup match.

“Racing have been going really well. As we all know, they’ve got some absolute stars, and they’re defending well and attacking really well. “So we’re fully aware it’s going to be a big challenge on Friday.”

Head coach Richie Murphy has also revealed that two players have sustained knocks: Iain Henderson, who was pulled out just before kick-off last weekend with a back spasm, and Rob Herring, who was taken off as a precaution after turning his ankle.

Recent reports suggest Racing 92 are looking into the possibility of signing New Zealand forward Ardie Savea after the next Rugby World Cup.
