Newcastle have had an excellent start to the EPCR Challenge Cup campaign, defeating Lyon 23-14 away and the Lions 14-10 at home.

Newcastle have contested seven additional away fixtures across all competitions so far this season. They defeated Harlequins 26-14 and lost 36-19 to Northampton Saints, lost 10-8 and 39-17 to Leicester Tigers, and 50-14 to Bath before beating Gloucester 25-19.

Perpignan kicked off their European Challenge Cup campaign with a 41-17 home win over the Dragons before losing 44-31 to Benetton away. 

Perpignan have had no success on the road in the Top 14 this season. They lost 31-13 to Toulouse, 31-8 to La Rochelle, 44-19 to Lyon, 29-22 to Montauban, 27-23 to Pau, 23-7 to Castres, and 31-16 to Toulon.

Perpignan pulled off a shock home win over Toulouse in their domestic league last weekend, but will have to improve their away form to have a chance of victory, having lost eight in a row on the road.

Perpignan

James Hall, Mahamadou Diaby, Jefferson Joseph, Bastien Chinarro, Matteo Le Corvec, Alivireti Duguivalu, Job Poulet, and Mayron Fahy have each scored a try in this edition of the European Challenge Cup. 

Hugo Reus has slotted four penalties and two conversions in the competition so far.
