Both these sides won against the odds in the semi-finals last weekend so this could be a titanic battle at Loftus Versfeld. Playing at home is certainly a positive for the Bulls considering that they have won 12 of their last 13 games on home soil.

Glasgow on the other hand showed last week what they can do away from home. They also got within a score against the Bulls six weeks ago. My best bet is for Glasgow Warriors to get inside the 9-point handicap.

Head to Head

These two met in the regular season six weeks ago at Loftus Versfeld. The Bulls won the game 40-34.

The Bulls dominated much of that match and had a comfortable lead, only to allow Glasgow to get back within striking distance late on.

The Bulls have had a stellar season after finishing second on the table, just a point off Munster. They have now reached their second final in three years – they lost the other to the Stormers in Cape Town.

Jake White’s side went on to beat Benetton at home in the quarter-final, before last week, again at home, seeing off Leinster 25-20. Despite playing in Pretoria, Leinster went into the game as favourites but the Bulls produced a stunning performance.

The Pretoria-based side were probably expecting to travel to face Munster, but Glasgow’s win has handed them a great opportunity to win their first URC title.

The Bulls, despite missing three internationals last weekend, were superb. I don’t see Jake White making too many changing, especially when those three are out for the season.

Glasgow Form

Glasgow finished fourth on the URC table but only three points separated them and Munster at the top. In fact, all top four sides won 13 games during the regular season.

Glasgow went on to beat the Stormers 27-10 at home in the quarter-final. Last week, against great odds, the Warriors produced an excellent away win against Munster by 17-10.

Traveling to South Africa for the final a day later will not make it easy for them, but a similar performance to last week and they will be in with a shout.

Glasgow may look to make one or two changes considering the travel arrangements. That will only be decided later in the week.

I am backing the Bulls to win the title but Glasgow to get within the nine-point handicap. My best bet is for the Bulls to lead at half time and full time.
