Edinburgh lost both games in the first three rounds of the URC this season. Their round two fixture was called off due to a storm, so they have got a game in hand on most of the other teams.

In round one, Edinburgh were woeful in a game they would really be expected to win against Zebre. The Italian side took full advantage of a poor performance by the Scottish side to win 31-28.

Last week, after having a week off due to the storm, Edinburgh were far better, narrowly losing out 20-19 away to Munster. That is always a very tough game for any side, so for Edinburgh to get that close shows the quality they have in the squad.

Benetton is a fast-improving side in the URC. Last season they started superbly, challenging the top two for more than half the season. That was until their season fell apart and they dropped outside of the top eight.

This season, they have two wins in the opening three rounds, which will give them some confidence. Benetton lost 26-15 away to Connacht on the opening weekend but bounced back at home to beat Glasgow 16-14 the following week.

Last Saturday, the Italians were at home again, this time against the Lions from South Africa. They dominated the game, winning 41-15.
