Sharks vs Edinburgh Predictions - Sharks backed to continue improved form

Last season the Sharks beat Edinburgh 22-19 in Scotland.

The Sharks are enduring yet another atrocious season despite having the resources some can only dream of. They have won just two of their 12 URC fixtures.

The Durban-based outfit beat the Dragons 29-9 away before losing 25-21 in mid-February to the Stormers on home soil. They were then thrashed in Johannesburg by the Lions.

Last week the Sharks produced the type of performance one would expect from them as they beat Ulster 22-12 at home. It may not have been Ulster’s strongest side, but it was a performance by the Sharks that could give them some confidence.

The Sharks won’t look to change much from last week.

Edinburgh have won eight of their 12 games in the URC season and are sitting pretty in sixth place. They are only five points off fourth and 10 off second.

Last week Edinburgh struggled in Cape Town as they lost 43-21 to the Stormers. Prior to that, they won five consecutive games.

Those victories included games against the Warriors, Gloucester, Scarlets, Zebre and Ospreys.

Edinburgh have the same squad available as they did last week with a few players still yet to confirm availability for this weekend.
