France were dominant against Wales earlier this season and based on their performances at the weekend, I fancy the French to have a relatively straightforward win. My best bet is for France to cover the -24 handicap.

France U20 are the bookmakers favourite to win the 2025 World Rugby U20 Championships after claiming the Six Nations prize earlier this year.

The French began their campaign this past weekend with an emphatic 49-11 success against Spain. The Spanish provided France with stiff competition early in the game, but as the game got into the second half, the French quality showed.

France will be wary of the Welsh challenge, despite winning comfortably against them in the Six Nations earlier this year.

Wales U20 had a strong Six Nations campaign earlier this season, winning three of their five matches. It was the first time in a few years where they have really challenged the big sides, although they did get thrashed by France.

There was certainly some confidence to the Welsh side heading into the World Championship, however, they lost their opening game this past weekend to Argentina.

It was a tight contest throughout, but Wales couldn’t take their chances when they were presented. They ended up going down 34-27, although they did pick up a couple of bonus points.
