The Brumbies had another strong season in 2024, much like 2023 where they were the top Australian side. They are the one Aussie side that seems capable of breaking the hold the New Zealand sides have on the trophy.

Last season, the Brums finished in third place with 12 wins in 14 games – the same record as the top two. However, the lack of bonus points cost the Aussie side dearly in the final rankings.

After beating the Highlanders in the last eight, the Brumbies fell 34-20 in Auckland against the Blues in the semi-final. The Blues went on to win the competition.
