With just three games to go, the Canes position in the top eight is hardly secure with ninth just four points off them. However, two successive wins have given the Wellington outfit plenty of confidence.
After losing at home to the Crusaders, the Canes drew against the Western Force. That was followed by an impressive 35-29 win over the Brumbies in Canberra. Last time out the Canes beat the Chiefs 35-17 at home.

Last week, during their bye weekend, the Hurricanes squad was rocked with COVID infections. It is not yet clear how it will affect team selection this weekend, but reports suggest most of the players are back on the field.
Highlanders Form
The Highlanders are second from bottom on the Super Rugby table with just 18 points and three wins this season. While they can still make the playoffs, they will probably need to win their three remaining games at the very least.
However, the Dunedin-based outfit is in horrid form at the moment. They have lost seven of their last eight games, their last win coming on 12 April against Fijian Drua.
Last week, the Highlanders suffered a shock 34-29 loss to Moana on home soil.
