Team News

Tokyo Sungoliath

Head Coach Ono Akiyuki highlighted the reason for his team's victory against the Urayasu D-Rocks last weekend: "The previous match was cancelled, leaving us with 13 days to prepare, but our players prepared for this match with the desire to show our own style of rugby. In doing so, we were able to show our own aggressive rugby while stopping Urayasu D-Rocks' threatening players, and I believe that being able to do so led to this result. We will continue to hone this and prepare for the next match."

Canon Eagles

Captain Jesse Kriel commented on the way forward for his team after their disappointing loss to the Black Rams last weekend: "I want to become a team that is harder to beat. It's important that we don't get complacent with our current position or ranking, but have the mindset of becoming a tougher and more adaptable team. Starting with myself, I want each and every member of the team to work with the awareness that 'we want to become a team that is hard to beat' in their own roles."
