Last weekend, they beat Marumo Gallants 3-0 at home. In midweek, they lost 2-1 at home to Mamelodi Sundowns to see their six-point lead in the table slashed to just three points. 

Two Wins in 11 in the League – Casric Faltering in Promotion Race


Casric Stars sit fourth in the First Division. They’re five points off the automatic promotion spot after winning just twice in their last 11 league matches. 

A disappointing 0-0 home draw vs Midlands Wanderers was followed by a 2-1 win at Venda. They could only draw 0-0 at home to promotion rivals Cape Town City. 

Casric won 3-0 at lower league side Army Rocket in the Nedbank Cup round of 32. Last Saturday, they could only draw 2-2 at Hungry Lions in another blow to their promotion ambitions.

Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is without Evidence Makgopa up front due to injury. Defenders Thabiso Lebitso and Tapelo Xoki are injured. 

There could be some rotation for this match. Tshepang Moremi and Andre De Jong are expected to start in the forward areas.
