Zambia Women Form

Zambia extended their unbeaten run to six fixtures when they edged Zimbabwe 1-0 in their COSAFA Women's Cup semi-final on Friday afternoon.

Zambia and Zimbabwe went into the interval locked in stalemate after failing to take the chances they each created in the first half.

However, Zambia did not take long to take the lead with a goal at the 50-minute mark; however, they continued to squander their chances for the remainder of the match but did enough to hold for the win.

Zambia had 19 shots in the game, with ten attempts on target.

Before that, Zambia drew 0-0 against Mozambique before beating Angola 3-1 and Comoros 5-1 in Group A.

The Copper Queens have registered four wins in their last five games, including one draw. They have scored 15 goals and let in four at the back.

Zambia have reached the final for the second year running and will aim to become the first country other than South Africa to win the competition more than once. However, they must put on a solid defensive display, as Malawi are full of goals.

Malawi Women Form

Malawi came from a goal down to edge Mozambique 2-1 in their COSAFA Women's Cup semi-final clash on Friday afternoon.

Malawi had their fair share of chances in the first half, but Mozambique were the first to take the lead when a Malawi player scored an own goal.

Malawi continued to create opportunities in the second half but lacked the finishing touch before the competition's top goal scorer pounced twice in the 77th and 80th minutes of the match to seal the victory.

Malawi had 19 shots in the game, with ten attempts on target.

Before that, Malawi had won all fixtures in Group A, defeating South Africa 4-3, Eswatini 8-0, and Madagascar 3-1.

Malawi have been in great touch, winning their last five successive internationals. They scored 34 goals and conceded five.

Seventeen of those goals came in a friendly against the Seychelles in preparation for this tournament.

Malawi will start with the belief they can secure their first Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women's Cup in their history, as they have won all their matches so far and have the competition's top goal-scorer in their midst.
