West Ham vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

Both sides are in pretty average form but the visitors have to win to stay in contention for a top four finish. However, both teams concede a fair amount of goals, so the value here is on over 2.5 and BTTS.

  • West Ham have seen BTTS in 3 consecutive home matches.
  • West Ham have seen over 2.5 goals in 9 of their last 11 against Nottingham Forest.
  • Nottingham Forest have seen BTTS in 6 consecutive away Premier League games.
  • Nottingham Forest have seen over 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 away EPL matches.

Head to Head

West Ham have a 48-47 advantage against Nottingham Forest in 121 meetings with 26 draws.

West Ham Form

Graham Potter’s West Ham have struggled for momentum in the Premier League. The East Londoners are 15th, winning once in their last nine and keeping just one clean sheet.

The Hammers were winless in eight successive Premier League matches, losing and drawing four. West Ham saw BTTS in the final five games during that run.

Potter’s side tasted victory for the first time since February after beating Man United 2-0 away. Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen scored either side of half time as West Ham had 2.16 XG.

West Ham Injuries

Forward pair Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville are injured and won’t feature.

Nottingham Forest Form

Nottingham Forest have dropped out of the Premier League’s top six following a dip in form. The Reds are winless in six of their previous seven in all competitions.

Forest have failed to win in four successive games and this run began with a 2-0 FA Cup defeat against Man City. Another 2-0 loss followed against Brentford in the Premier League before a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s outfit fell out of the European qualification places following a 2-2 draw against rivals Leicester. Forest conceded first and Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood hit back before Leicester levelled in the final 10 minutes.

Nottingham Forest Injuries

Striker Taiwo Awoniyi is out for the season after abdominal surgery.

Forward Eric da Silva Moreira and midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi are also injured and unavailable.

Verdict

With West Ham and Nottingham Forest in patchy form, sticking with goals is the best option on Sunday. BTTS and over 2.5 goals are the best pick in this Premier League clash.
